A Winter Gathering: Yoga, Festive Floristry & Forest Therapy

Friday 4th December 2026 — 9am – 5pm

£199

Join florist Emma Remington, movement specialist Becca McLachlan, and forest therapy guide and co-founder of The Falcon Tracy Northampton for a relaxing day retreat at The Falcon, Castle Ashby.

Designed to spark your creativity, immerse you in nature, and move your body in an intuitive way, this retreat will leave you feeling relaxed, inspired and ready to welcome Christmas with a sense of calm.

After a warm welcome with teas and coffees, we’ll meet for our morning movement practice led by Becca McLachlan. Before we break for a nourishing lunch in Eyas restaurant, Tracy Northampton will guide us through Castle Ashby Gardens on a forest therapy walk. The day will close with a floristry session hosted by Emma Remington, and each participant will leave with a festive centrepiece to take home, made using seasonal foliage.

Movement | Yin Yoga

This special winter yin yoga flow is inspired by the stillness of winter. During the practice, you are invited to take a pause from the fast pace of the festive season as we move through a series of gentle yin postures, alongside breathwork and meditation.

Yin yoga works primarily with the deeper connective tissues of the body, using supported postures held for several minutes at a time. Rather than striving for a deeper stretch, we’ll explore stillness, softness and sensation — allowing the body to release and the nervous system to settle.

We’ll close the session with a relaxing meditation and extended savasana, allowing time for the body and mind to absorb the effects of the practice.

Forest Therapy | Guided Nature Walk

Before we break for lunch, Tracy Northampton will guide a gentle, unhurried walk through the grounds of the estate, inviting us to slow down, breathe deeply and connect with the sounds, sights and scents of our surroundings. This mindful, sensory immersion in nature supports relaxation and soothes the nervous system.

We recommend wearing comfortable footwear on the walk and bringing a warm, waterproof jacket with you to wear in case we experience wet weather.

Floristry Session | Festive Flower Arranging

In the afternoon, Emma Remington will guide the group through a festive floristry workshop. During this mindful, hands-on session, participants will learn how to create a festive table centrepiece using seasonal foliage.

No experience is required to attend this workshop. Our resident expert Emma will guide you through the calming ritual of flower arranging while you unwind, express your creativity and work on your own seasonal arrangement to take home with you.

We have a limited number of spaces available for this retreat. Book your place here

Emma Remington

Emma Remington

In 2001, after a head-spinning life working in the fashion industry in London  I retrained and became a florist……. Emma Remington Flowers was born.

Studying, initially as a textile designer, I grew a passion for colour and texture, and now, I have inspirational new materials to work with: flowers and foliage.

My style as a flower designer is often described as ‘contemporary country’ and where possible I use British grown blooms to take centre stage in my arrangements.

Working as a Wedding and Event Florist for the past 25 years has been truly enriching in my knowledge of flowers and all their do’s and don’ts!

I represent the National Association of Flower Arrangers, as an area demonstrator, travelling around the South Midlands demonstrating and talking about the wonderful art of flower arranging.

Flowers are my passion and I do hope you’d like to join me on the journey.
