Join us for five restorative days exploring the profound relationship between the nervous system, frequency, resonance and the healing presence of nature. Set within the historic grounds of The Falcon at Castle Ashby, this residential retreat offers a rare opportunity to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with your body, the land, and the subtle rhythms that support regulation and renewal.

Guided by renowned trauma expert Deb Dana, alongside Lady Tracy Northampton and Lord Spencer Northampton, the retreat draws on polyvagal theory, forest therapy, and radiesthesia to support your nervous system’s natural capacity for balance, resilience and restoration. This is not simply time away—it is an immersive journey into how body, place and space interact to shape our sense of safety, connection and vitality.

What to expect

Across the five days, you’ll be guided through a carefully sequenced blend of learning, embodiment and nature-based experience. Gentle, accessible practices support nervous system awareness and regulation, grounded in Deb Dana’s polyvagal teachings. Time in the surrounding gardens and estate includes forest bathing—mindful immersion in nature designed to soothe and settle the nervous system—as well as explorations with radiesthesia.

Radiesthesia and spatial resonance, invites you to sense how form, geometry and place influence wellbeing. Held in the calm, supportive surroundings of The Falcon, the retreat balances structured guidance with spaciousness for rest, reflection and integration.

The Five‑Day Journey

  • Day 1 – Discover Your Rhythms – Tune into your body’s natural cycles of safety, activation, and rest.
  • Day 2 – Move into Resonance – Experience connection and co‑regulation through presence and safety.
  • Day 3 – Nourish Your System – Build inner resources to return to calm and balance with ease.
  • Day 4 – Restore & Reflect = Reconnect with nature through gentle movement and forest bathing.
  • Day 5 – Integrate & Renew – Ground your learning and carry new tools for daily regulation.

What you will take with you

You will leave with a deeper understanding of your nervous system and practical tools to support regulation in daily life, informed by polyvagal theory and embodied experience. Many participants describe a renewed sense of connection—to themselves, to nature, and to the environments they inhabit—alongside greater clarity, calm and resilience.

This retreat offers not just insight, but an embodied remembering: of your place within nature’s restorative rhythms, and of your body’s innate wisdom to find balance, safety and ease.

As the creator of the Rhythm of Regulation® model and a founding member of the Polyvagal Institute, Deb helps people understand how their nervous system shapes their experiences of safety, connection, and well‑being.

Through her gentle approach and clear explanations, she shows how awareness of our nervous system can transform how we relate to ourselves and others—making it possible to feel safe enough to explore, love, and fully engage with life.

Deb’s workshops, writings, and trainings invite both professionals and curious individuals to discover how Polyvagal principles can guide daily living, helping us all navigate stress, nurture resilience, and build genuine connection. Her work warmly reminds us that regulation is not just a clinical idea—it’s a pathway home to ourselves and to one another.

Lord Spencer Northampton

Lord Spencer, 7th Marquess of Northampton, is head of the Compton family, and custodian of his family estates of Compton Wynyates in Warwickshire and Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire.

’Spenny’, as he is known, has had lifelong interests in esoteric studies. He completed the advanced training in Biogeometry – a Science of Qualities – using pendulums to access the 98% of reality that the senses cannot reach. He has spent two years using radiesthesia to find and balance the subtle energies of the planet, humans and buildings, particularly those connected to his estates. His passion for health and wellbeing informs a holistic vision for balance, intuition and connection to Nature at the heart of modern life.

Alongside Tracy, his wife, he has lovingly reimagined The Falcon at Castle Ashby as a contemporary haven for rest and renewal. Rooted in heritage yet forward-looking in ethos, The Falcon reflects their belief in the healing power of nature, offering guests thoughtfully designed spaces, healthy nourishment and experiences that invite stillness, reflection and genuine connection.
