Voice Awakening – Find your resonance, find your voice

Saturday 3rd October, 9am–6pm

Price £85

Join Ravi Freeman – our resident musician and kirtan chanting host – for an immersive day of voice exploration on Saturday 3rd October 2026.

Ravi regularly hosts kirtan chanting evenings here at The Falcon for our local community. This full-day experience is designed to offer a more in-depth exploration of voice work, overtone singing, chanting and sound.

As part of the experience, Ravi will host two voice-led workshops in which he’ll cover technical aspects of overtone singing, alongside the esoteric and healing components of the practice.

Overtone sounds resonate in harmony with nature. Tuning in to these vibrations using instruments and the voice allows a deeper contact with the psyche and spirit. As you learn to produce overtones with the voice and listen to the sounds of the gongs, Tibetan bowls and tambura, a heightened sensitivity, awareness, peacefulness, cleansing, healing, and deepened meditation emerge.

Singing will also be incorporated into other practices we host here at The Falcon including forest therapy, led by Tracy Northampton, and a meditative labyrinth walk.

We’ll break for teas, coffees and lunch throughout the day to allow our voices time to rest, and to connect with other retreat participants.

By the end of the day, you will leave having found your natural sound, learnt to breathe from the diaphragm, and heard your own overtones clearly. Singing together as a choir will allow us to experience the healing effects of harmonics.

This day retreat is open to all singing abilities. Existing singers will find greater depths and possibilities in their voices, while new singers will be guided to find their voice and develop confidence in their singing abilities.
